Cariboo bassinets (also known as cribs) are currently available hand-made in one style, the popular Cariboo Folding Bassinet.
Convenient, stylish and portable, the Cariboo Folding Bassinet is a versatile and affordable baby bassinet.
This safe, sturdy bassinet folds easily which allows it to be moved from room to room or stored when not in use.
Its fabric removes easily to allow it to be machine washed. Suitable for babies from newborn up to five months old, or until they start rolling over or pulling themselves up.
Accessories and various colour choices allow the Cariboo Folding Bassinet to be customized to any nursery setting. The standard set includes a firm foam mattress and baseboard.
Cariboo selects only the highest quality, sustainable New Zealand-grown pine for all of its products. Pine is the perfect wood to use for nursery furniture; it is a medium-density wood yet light enough to make each piece portable.
The fabrics used for our cribs and accessories are 100% cotton. The ability to mix and match the color options lets you design your own nursery decor.
Each of our cribs include a custom-made Cariboo firm foam mattress. Cariboo believes foam is best to provide the necessary support for newborn babies. We also offer an optional 100% wool mattress topper for parents wanting a firm but natural sleeping surface. Wool naturally draws moisture away from Baby and helps regulate temperature. We think the foam mattress for support and the wool mattress topper is the ideal sleep solution for baby. All Cariboo mattresses are supported by a zero-emission MDF base-board.
For our unbelievably soft and lightweight blankets, we use high-quality, mid-micron wool sourced from local farms in the South Island of New Zealand. The yarn spinning technology was developed in New Zealand and the entire manufacturing process is carried out in New Zealand. We dye Cariboo wool blankets with environmentally-sensitive eco-dyes, resulting in soft, natural colours. Cariboo wool blankets are machine-washable on a delicate or wool cycle and dry four times faster than standard wool.
